Introduction of the course
What do I already know?
The course is designed for students for whom the following statement is true:
I can speak about basic things like work, family and school. I can ask and answer simple questions. I can write an e-mail to book accommodation for my holiday and I can read the answer.
Books and Material
- The combination of various materials from different sources – Internet, Newspapers, Magazines, News, Conversation books
How will the course be taught?
- You will speak only in English
- The teacher is a native speaker who does not speak Czech
- The course is designed for students who need to talk and don’t want to put emphasis on grammar
- Less attention will be paid to grammar than in general English courses. The teacher will explain any grammar that gives the students trouble and which inhibits conversation
- Every lesson, the conversation will take place on a different topic, to be selected at the beginning of the course
- The teacher will offer a list of topics from which you can choose during the first class. Students can also suggest themes.

HRADČANSKÁ, Badeniho 290/1, Praha 6
- Doprava MHD: Metro trasa A, Hradčanská a pak asi 4 minuty pěšky podél tramvaje směrem k Pražskému hradu. Učebny jsou naproti izraelskému velvyslanectví.
- Doprava autem: Parkování v modré zóně na parkovacích hodinách, větší parkoviště je v ulici Na Valech.
Who teaches this course?
Emma Kroner
Emma Kroner je trpělivá a nadšená lektorka angličtiny pocházející z Arizony. V Americe několik let vyučovala angličtinu a matematiku pro širokou škálu studentů a po příjezdu do České republiky absolvovala kurz TEFL (Teaching of English as a Foreign Language). Od té doby se věnuje výuce angličtiny na plný úvazek. Ráda vyučuje všechny věkové kategorie, od dospělých až po dětské kurzy.
