Introduction of the course
"Teaching in primary and secondary schools is often focused on mastering grammar and expanding passive vocabulary. Students complete exercises and take numerous tests, but they have difficulty expressing themselves in a foreign language. Is this also your case? Our course, taught by a native speaker, will get you talking!"
Online course characteristics
The lesson is conducted through a video conference. You only need internet connection and a computer or tablet or smart phone. There is no need to install any software, you just click a link we provide and join the course.
This is a new course. It is not directly linked to any course in the previous semester and is therefore ideal for new students.
Who is the course for?
The course is intended for the age group of 12-16 years old.
What do I already know?
The course is designed for students for whom the following statement is true:
I can speak about basic things like work, family and school. I can ask and answer simple questions. I can write an e-mail to book accommodation for my holiday and I can read the answer.
- You will speak only English
- The course is designed for students who need to talk and don’t want to put emphasis on grammar
- Less attention will be paid to grammar than in general English courses. The teacher will explain any grammar that gives the students trouble and which inhibits conversation
- Every lesson, the conversation will take place on a different topic, to be selected at the beginning of the course
- The teacher will offer a list of topics from which you can choose during the first class. Students can also suggest themes.
Classroom

Who teaches this course?
Tudor Bucataru
Tudor Bucataru je kanadský lektor angličtiny. Vystudoval obor Business Administration na univerzitě v Calgary. Pracovní zkušenosti získal během zaměstnání v BMO Bank of Montreal. V roce 2019 absolvoval v Praze lektorský kvalifikační kurz TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). Tudor v naší škole vede kurzy obecné i obchodní angličtiny. Výuka ho baví natolik, že se rozhodl vystudovat magisterský obor Teaching English.
